Mackenzie Bedford is an artist born in Canmore, AB, raised in Golden, BC. She earned her Visual Arts diploma at Red Deer College in 2011 and is currently residing in Calgary. Concentrating on drawing, painting, and printmaking, she works on all three in her home. She focuses on female portraiture and experiments with combining the mediums together. Taking inspiration from fashion, art nouveau, and the female form, she tries to encompass female empowerment in her work. She was recently involved with Sit. gallery in their Calgary Hot One Inch Action show in May, and as a featured artist at the Motion Gallery, Calgary in September.
